Town and Country Training
Rural ministry training for students, pastors, and anyone the Lord leads into rural, small-church leadership.
What is TACT?
TACT (Town and Country Training) was launched in 2008 to provide intensive, accredited training for rural ministry. Through in-depth courses, RHMA equips both aspiring and current rural ministers to strengthen their skills and thrive in the rural context.
2026 TACT Classes
TACT classes are offered as multi-week online courses that combine live weekly sessions with on-demand learning. Students engage in live video lectures and interviews with rural ministry practitioners, along with recorded lectures they can watch on their own schedule.
TACT classes can be taken for credit or audited, with the audit option offering a significantly reduced workload. Students taking a class for credit should register with both their school and RHMA.
Upcoming Classes
RHMA regularly offers four TACT classes. Ministering in the Town and Country Church and Community is offered every summer, with three additional courses offered on a rotating basis each summer.
