Lay Shepherding Training Guide
Jesus spent time with His twelve disciples in order to raise the leaders and shepherds for His church. As pastors we know we need leaders and we pray for God to give us leaders; but we can be like Jesus and raise up leaders in our church. With a basic understanding that a church leader is a shepherd of the church, then we can start training all leaders to be shepherds in their sphere of life and ministry.
This training template allows you to create short classes to teach parents or small group leaders how to shepherd. You can expand the teaching into a four-to-six-week study for the raising up of the next leaders in the church ministry. And you can create and in-depth inductive study of church shepherding for the next generation of church leaders. However you chose to use the template, you will be training lay shepherds in all areas of your church ministry.
